From Exeter, take the A30 sign posted for Bodmin, Truro,
Penzance etc. Keep
on the A30 at all times.
You will pass signs
for Truro, Newquay etc and then begin to pick
up the signs for Penzance. Continue to follow these for some time.
The
A30 will then become a single carriageway and lead into the
village of Crowlas, about 8 miles from Penzance.
Go through Crowlas until you reach the next roundabout.
The first turning left is for Helston A394, take
that turning and carry on over two flat road
bridges, approx. 2 miles, as the third road bridge
approaches indicate to turn left. This turning
comes up quick so take care. Turn left after
the bridge, down to the T-junction and turn right,
continue along that road for about 500 yds and
take the next right hand turn.
Follow the road for a few hundred yards
and the Engine House is straight in front of you.
