...why is the Cornish pasty the shape it is?
It is said to be designed so the miners could hold the crust to avoid covering their food in arsenic, which was common in the extraction of Tin and Copper.
Once they had finished eating, they threw the crust away. The miners pasty is somewhat different to the one we know today, one half was sweet and the other half was savoury.
What's inside?
The Engine House Apartment is fully self contained and decorated with warming fabrics and colours to match.
It has its own private entrance via its sun deck to ensure you the utmost privacy during your stay.
The accommodation comprises
of a lounge with the main and second bedroom
leading off it and a bathroom.
Down the spiral staircase you will
find a fully integrated kitchen with all the modern appliances you
will need during your stay with us.
It is fully fitted and comes with a fan-assisted oven, hob, integrated fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine/dryer.
